About

WELCOME TO FOGPHOTO.COM, my name is Ramsey and I’m an amateur photographer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. This web site is a collection of photographs I’ve recently taken. Photography has been a hobby of mine for about five years now and I have been photoblogging for nearly as long. Other hobbies of mine include running and travel.

I was drawn to photography as a natural extension of my work, graphic design. My first blog, FogBay.com was a 1,000-post look at the Bay Area’s unique sights, people, and history. Photos from FogBay have been featured in a number of web sites including the UK Guardian and San Francisco Chronicle newspapers. Fogbay.com is still available for viewing online.

After five years of working on FogBay.com I decided it was time to create a broader photography web site. FogPhoto.com is the result of that effort. Here I present photographs not just from the San Francisco Bay Area but from my travels as well. The Fog Photo brand mark on this web site is an adaptation of an old German travel photographer’s symbol from the 1930s. Sadly, I don’t actually have a camel, pith helmet, or giant mustache.

I hope you enjoy the web site. If you have any thoughts about the photos here I would love to read your comments and if you enjoy the site please pass the site address along to your friends.

Thanks for visiting,
